Satrina's dagger

Here is a set-used dagger seen in season 4. This dagger style was used by Satrina, Xena’s side slave in the past, in the episode “Past Imperfect” and by Milo, Horde’s assassin, in the episode “Daughter of Pomira” from season 4.

The dagger is made of solid resin with a foam blade. The dagger is constructed over a metal rod to prevent for bending. The foam blade props were the most popular weapons in the production of the series because it avoid any damage to the actors and are light-weight props.

The handle painting has some wear and has chipped off in some areas but it is still in good condition.

The blade foam is soft but it is still in mint condition, the tip is slightly bend only.

 I have never seen this dagger for sale, so I thought was a rare piece to add to my collection.

After searching and comparing several scenes I can screen match this dagger with one used in the final fight of the episode “Daughter of Pomira” from season 4, when Xena defeats Milo. I can identify this dagger in the stunts sequences as it has a slightly bent tip, just like this one.

K'ao Hsin's costume

Here is the last addition to my chinese costumes: K’ao Hsin’s costume worn by Marie Matiko and stunts in the episodes “Purity” and “Back in the bottle” from season 5.

K’ao Hsin was the daughter of Lao Ma, sister of Ming T’ien, and twin sister of Pao Ssu. She helped Xena and Gabrielle save Chin when her sister and brother attempted to conquer and rule it. Her knowledge on her mother’s book gave her power to beat her sister, Pao Ssu.

The costume includes a dress made of an intricate silk brocade fabric in green and yellow tones and orange silk brocade trousers.  

This costume was auctioned in the “It’s a Wrap!” auction held in 2001, it comes with the original COA and costume elements label.
