Brunnhilda hero costume & stunt costume

Here I bring you and interesting entry about the Brunnhilda costume worn by Brittney Powell and the one used by Brunnhilda stunt double, Sheree Swords. Well, as we all know the hero costume used to be more detailed, the materials are the same in both costumes however there are a few differences.

Well, let we check some differences: the main leather corset is made of brown leather in both cases although the golden pieces from the belt are totally metallic ones in Brittney Powell costume and the stunt one combines metallic and painted resin ones. Also, Brittney Powell size is bigger than the stunt that was tinier.

In addition, the stunt corset has more signs of wear than the Hero ones. Well, the green skirt made of green velvet and brown leather  is almost the same, again the Brittney size is bigger than the stunt one. The boots or better named boot covers have also some differences, the hero boot covers are a bit longer than the stunt ones, probably due to the proportionality of the height of the actresses.

Sadly, most of the jewelry of the costumes was removed to be sold in the IAW auction. And I just have a pair of the stunt wrist cuffs and there is no trace of the golden armband. Also, I just have one scabbard that came with both costumes. The costumes also came with the Stunt hanger and the clothing label hand written of Brunnhilda costume.

Hercules Photoshoot

Today I bring you a photo shoot of the Hercules costume that I own that it is almost completed, just missing a pair of boots. Probably one of my favorites costumes, that includes a screenused leather vest and undershirt worn by Kevin Sorbo himself, screenused belt worn by stunt double, leather pants and Limited Edition Hercules gauntlets made by the company Todds Costumes.

The Hercules costume is displayed in the mannequin with Xena and Gabrielle costumes together.

Screenworn Crias costume

Screen worn Crias costume, the honorable Titan. This costume was worn by Crias played by Edward Campbell seen in the episode from season 1 “The Titans” filmed between August-September 1995. This costume includes Crias fabric vest, belt with gold accents, gauntlets, armbands and a kind of sandals toppers. Are missing the grey pants and sandals to complete this wardrobe.

General view.

Sometimes these things give you satisfaction, be able to gather a character wardrobe that had been separated for around 21 years ago after the show ended. Is this case, the vest was in a NZ container with the stunt double one, and in other container was the rest of the accessories: gauntlets, armbands, belt and boot toppers.

When the 2001 Auction occurred many huge lots of costumes and props were sold all around the world, others never left New Zealand and many costumes and accessories were separated by people who organized the containers. From what I understand is that the batches were similar, mostly all huge batches had some roman costumes, warlords leather armors, some fabric costumes, a mix of different gauntlets, prop weapons, some women costumes (mixed of amazon, peasants, Nordic style costumes) and sometimes  were included some hero costumes of a guest starring actor or a recognizable wardrobe from the series, is the case of my Brunnilda (guest starring Britney Powell) costume that was stored with plenty of other costumes in a container.
