Joxer set used bag

Yesterday, I was watching at the gym the episode "Girls just wanna have fun" from season 2 and I realized that the Joxer's bag seen on screen was the leather bag that I purchased about a year ago. When I bought the bag I knew I saw it before but I wasn't sure where, so surprisingly, yesterday I was able to screen match it.  The bag was used by Joxer played by Ted Raimi where Orpheus head was in during the travel to Bacchus (watch Bacchus costume here) catacombs. Also, Xena took the bag in two times to take Orpheus out.

 

 

Travel Bag prop

This travel leather bag prop came directly from New Zealand. This big size bag made of real leather was used in the production of the Xena: Warrior Princess tv series. This style of bag was used by Xena, Gabrielle, Virgil and other characters during season 5 & 6 of tv series. 

This particular bag has several similarities with the Gabrielle horse saddle bag from the latest seasons. I am a super fan of the leather bags from the series, I think is the essence of the series on them.

Argo Saddle bags

A few weeks ago I finally finished my Argo saddle bags replica and I'm really proud!! Well, I've always love that bags that Argo carries on the back. Two years ago, during the pandemic, I had done my first attempt doing just one bag, not the pair. The result was pretty good but I couldn't be able to make the original convex effect on the bag, it was mostly flat and I wasn't 100% satisfied. So, recently I found a really good leather to make it and now, I have the enough skills and knowledge to make that convex effect on the bags with a bit of extra help! It is made of real cow leather and the fur is goat.

The saddle emblems were 3D designed, casted in resin and painted with an aged golden effect. The paua shells was the final detail to finish this beauty! Enjoy the result. I'm thinking to do a few of them to commission, if you are interested you can contact me privately.

Gabrielle Hero Season 3&4 Costume

 This month was my birthday and Ive received on Friday the best present I could ever had: The amazing screenused costume from season 3&4 used by Gabrielle played by Renée O'Connor. I have to admit I was a bit obsessed with this costume, I have replicated it in two times and finally I can have a piece of history and a treasure for my collection, definitely.

This costume came with the COA from the It'sAWrap Auction in 2001, where it was sold.

Finally I can get together mosty the complete most iconic Gabrielle costume:

Green Hero Top: In my opinion the most interesting thing is the leaves embroidery all over the top, and the plenty of small beads it has, arround 40 pieces. Also, the special rustic cotton fabric is quite interesting, never seen this kind of fabric before. In addition, after comparing many Gabrielle screenused costumes like this one from others collectors Ive realized that the ones that were used by stunts, the placement of the beads wasnt so accurate than the ones used by the main actress, Renée. As I know from some friends that own these costume from stunts the top size is really small, like XS, probably because the stunts were extremely athletic. In this case, the top will be a small size, probably because Renée had more breast at that moment. It is in mint condition and very clean.

• Hero Belt: is made of genuine brown orange leather, with plenty of painted geometric detailes that are also embroidered all of them. On the inside, there is a purple/red fabric, and three pieces of velcro to be attached to the skirt. It is in mint condition, although some velcro pieces needs to be glued again to the belt, cause they were glued.

• Hero Skirt: is made of a rustic fabric in a brown reddish tone. When I saw it the first time Ive realised how small it was, its pretty short and the size is maybe 26/27. (XS or S). It is in very good condition.
• Bag/Purse: This leather purse was used by Gabrielle in season 2 & 3, till the character changed for a more actual back bag. Due to inevitable deterioration over the years, it is beginning to lose a bit of hair and some beads are missing. Even though is still in great condition.

Soon I will take some close-ups of every details and post them as I can. I'm looking for the screenused red boots of this costume, if anyone knows anything or want to sell them I will be interested in them.
