Gabrielle's complete hero classic costume

Finally I can display the complete Gabrielle season 3&4 classic hero trademark costume. Probably one of my favorites costumes and most recognizable Gabrielle costume of the whole series worn by Gabrielle played by Renée O'Connor during the season 3 and the beginning of season 4, probably the golden years of the series in my opinion.

The costume is composed of the iconic set used Gabby BGSB (or "bilious green sport bra") with embroidered leaf motifs and wooden bead adornments, the set used rust paneled skirt, the set used leather painted belt, the set used leather fur purse, the garnet boots replica and the Creation Entertainment wood staff.

XENA COLLECTION EXPO OCT 22

Hi guys! Yesterday I have the chance of taking a few photos of my personal permanent Xena collection that I've acquired during the last 10 years at least, the collection combines screenused Hero costumes, props and a few replicas. Was a hard job to reunited all this stuff and I'm still thinking about how to display it properly, for the moment is placed as it is in the photos.

In this general photo you can see Xena hero costume, Gabrielle hero season 3&4 and season 6 costumes. Plenty of swords, proud of my Xena hero metal sword hanged in the shadow box in the wall, my screenused Gabrielle sais over the Creation Limited Edition Sais, some screenused dagger and replicas, the amazon turtle shield, a roman shield, a few axes, an spear, the AFIN katanas and Creation Entertainment chakras, sais, breast dagger & whip. In the middle of the dresser you can see a Xena metal replica based in the screenused one and a leather scabbard.

Comparing Gabrielle's Sai

Hello friends! Today I bring a special photo with Gabrielle's latest weapons during the tv series.

Yesterday I received the screen-used sai used by Gabrielle played by Renée O'Connor and I realized that were a masterpiece and I was very proud of owning them, always I believe that sharing some photos will make many people feel grateful and pleased of it, as I already know.

So, inside the shadowbox of the Creation Entertainment sai replicas I've placed the screen-used sai to make a fast comparison:

1. The material is different, screen-used sai are solid resin on the handle and soft resin, foam, in the blade. Although, the inside of them have a metal heart to give more consistency to the weapon and thus, to prevent it from bending. Creation are metal as we all know.
2. As you see, the blade of the screen-used sai is thicker and much more detailed that the Creation Ent ones.
3. The handle of both pair of sai are the same size.
4. Also, the notches on the handle and blade are much more visible in the screen-used ones.
5. The leather wrap on the handle is painted resin on the screen-used sai, instead of the Creation Ent sais is real leather.
6. Screen-used sai have signs of wear and the tips are a bit bent from fighting scenes, on the other hand, the Creation Ent sai looks perfectly polished and no signs of wear.

In conclusion, Creation Ent sai are iconic, made of metal and looks amazing inside the shadow box. The screenused sais are also iconic, you can breathe the essence of the tv series on them, is a piece of heart of Xena: Warrior Princess tv series from the 90's and just thinking Renée used them at some point makes me feel so proud. I love each piece of my collection, that is the reason I bought them. However, this pair of screenused sais have a special place in my heart. 💗💗💗

Gabrielle S6 Limited Edition Necklace

Today I bring you one of my favourite item of my collection, it is the Gabrielle Season 6 Necklace prop replica, made by the propmasters of the tv show and nowadays extremelly rare to find. Sold by Creation Entertainment. Since Ive started collecting Xena props & replicas Ive always wanted one of this.

Gabrielle S6 necklace was mak in a very limited edition of 2,500 units worldwide but that number was never reached, the highest number Ive seen is #90, so that makes this necklace more rare than other props/replicas.

This necklace is made of silver and is composed of 5 beads - two round silver balls, two wired "flowers" and a leaf shaped pendant in the middle.

The case is lined in green velvet with Xena WP logo in gold inner side of the lid.

The he first appearance of the necklace was in the episode "Heart of Darkness" when Gabrielle changed her leather wardrobe of the fifth season for a more sophisticated wardrobe and according to her personal evolution.

Last time we've seen this necklace was in the ending of the series in the last scene when Xena ghost stay together her friend, Gabrielle.

Here are Gabrielle sais also from Creation Entertainment, the cuffs and the necklace. All together, finally!

Xena's Whip

Ive always wanted to make this entry, why? Xena's whip has been always one of my favourite props from the Warrior Princess.

Xena uses her whip in several episodes during all the series. One of the more recognizables episodes was "The Price" from season two. "Devi" from season 4.The funny moment when Gabrielle makes an exchange with Minya for a frying pan in "A day in a life", season two. Or when Gabrielle wraps it arround her waist in "The black wolf" from season 1.

2x20 - Xena stretches the whip to dodge an ax from the Hordes, great moment!

The original whip was made of leather, a metal haddle with paua shells inlay and was wrapped with a black leather strap. During the production some whips were made of foam or resin. It is a awesome craftman work with plenty of ornament details. 

Creation Entertainment decided to produce this great prop in a Limited Edition of 15 whips worldwide.The first 15 whips had the number written, however, the demand was a bit stronger and decided to make a few more, but not more than 50, although the total number is still unknown it is known that are a very reduced number.

As well as I've been collecting screencaps from the several episodes where the whip is seen Ive found some interesting pictures.

1x11 - The Black wolf, Gabrielle wears the whip around her stomach to help her friend who is in jail. And if you get closer to the second picture you will see that the whip doesnt have the paua shells inlay that used to had, 

maybe because they came off the whip before or was just a mistake of the production or wardrobe team.

1x12 - Beware greeks bearing gifts. Xena holds her whip in the chakram hook. Do you know that in this episode Xena leather costume had two hooks on each side of the hip, one to hold the chakram and the other for the whip.

4x14 - Devi. Again Xena stretches the whip to fight against Tataka demon. I think in this episode Xena used a foam whip.

4x20 - Endgame, Xena carries the whip before fighting with the roman army.
