Atyminius's dagger

Here is a recent found, set-used foam dagger prop used by Atyminus played by Paul Willis. 

Atyminius was a deceased serial killer that met Xena and Marcus in the underworld after having stolen Hades helmet. The helmet let him to travel between the two worlds and return to life.

He is specially interest in killing young virgins in her ceremonial wedding bath, finally Xena killed him in the middle of an assassination attempt.

This dagger is made of soft foam blade with some resin golden details in the cross guard and a metal round concho on the pommel, just like Xena's whip has in both sides of the central piece.

Xena's hero scabbard

Probably one of the rarest props I have seen in the last 15 years of collecting... I was desperate searching for a Xena’s Creation scabbard during years, I had bought one and never arrived, I was devastated. But, I just needed patience.

Here is a Xena’s set used scabbard worn by Lucy Lawless circa season 2 and 3. I think is impossible to screen match with a specific episode or scene.

The main material is a dark brown leather with some aged and oiled parts and the structure of the scabbard is made of soft but firm foam. The scabbard has two leather braids on top and in the middle. 

The golden medallions are awesome, they are made of resin with golden paint and each one has a paua shell inlay. The back part has one carabiner hidden bewteen pieces of leather on top and where it should be another smaller carabiner was replaced by a leather strip to tie to Lucy’s back corset.

This is, for sure, one of my “Holy Grail” props and another Xena’s prop I can cross it off my wish list, this one has a place in my heart. The leather still has a special smell.

Xena Boot Dagger prop

A recently eBay pick-up: Screen used Xena boot dagger made of heavy resin and the blade is a kind of soft foam, urethane. This dagger always was one of my dreamed Xena weapons to own and will be great displayed with the screenused Xena sword, chakram, whip and the breast dagger.

This is one of the personal Xena weapons, part of her weaponry arsenal. The dagger came without the paua shells, probably they came off at some point, there was rest of glue around the holes where they were supposed to be. So, as I am not thinking in selling it at any time I decided those paua shells from New Zealand should be there again.

This dagger was seen in various episodes used by Xena played by Lucy Lawless and stunt doubles: “Callisto", “Intimate stranger” and “The furies”.

Screen used metal Hero Hephestus / Prometheus

Hephestus/ Prometheus screen used metal one-of-a-kind sword prop is dream came true recently. This iconic sword was seen in the “Prometheus” episode from season 1 and after, with a different fabric in the handle and a few “faux” jewels changed was seen in the episode “The Quill is the Mightier” in season 3. Also, this sword appeared in the episode “The sword of Veracity” of season 2 from HTLJ tv series. 

The metal prop swords are extremely rare, probably some of those were just one-of-a-kind pieces that after were casted in resin to be used by the actors and stunts to prevent damages. That is also why I believe that this sword was used in the “Prometheus”episode and after modified for the season 3 episode, inspecting a little bit seems that the old “Prometheus” handle fabric is behind the actual one.

Metal sword props were just seen in close-ups and a few scenes that the shine and bright of the sword is required. This awesome sword is quite heavy and very detailed. The handle has a garnet velvet fabric with golden ribbons intertwined. It combines green and red faux jewels in both sides, just missing a pair of them. The red diamond shape "faux" jewel in the pommel is quite awesome and it is in mint condition in both sides.

The COA reveals that this sword is “Hephestus Ornate Sword” and was used in XWP tv series. I think I need a huge rock to be displayed properly.
