Mum's wood showcase

I decided to pick up this vintage wooden showcase from my mum’s home and display my Xena’s collection differently. Xena is a vintage series, why not a vintage furniture to display it.

 

 

Here there is my set used hero resin chakram, Xena's hero boot, Xena's boot dagger, Xena's Creation whip, Xena's screen used swords (up, Xena's hero plated sword, down, Xena's hero resin sword signed by Lucy) and leather scabbard, Xena's hero metal Yin Yang chakram, Gabrielle's hero plated sai and Gabrielle's stunt foam sais. 

Here there is Callisto's metal Creation sword, Callisto's metal dagger from Todd's Costumes, Athena's stunt sword, Athena's style dagger, Gabrielle's Helicon Amazon Queen sword signed by Renée, Prometheus's metal hero sword, Hord Axe, Xena's Valkyrie stunt helmet, Livia's stunt sword and  Xena's Creation breast dagger.

Mix of props: Xena's sacred katana, Gabrielle's Higuchi Millitia sword, Morloch's sword, Skull style sword, Amazon swords and scabbard, some daggers and Hercules's gauntlets in the back.

Full circle

During these last months I realized that I am living a full-circle moment as collector. Probably last year Holy Grail additions to my collection were totally unimaginable for me 5 years ago. I have always dreamed with a screen-used Xena's sword with scabbard, a screen-used dark chakram or even a screen-used metal Yin Yang chakram... I really don't know if it was just luck, or I just was in the right place in the right moment, who knows...

Happy 29th Anniversary!

September 4, 1995. Last week was the anniversary from my favorite series ever. A series that changed my life, helped to create my identity and my way of living. 

The first season of the television series Xena: Warrior Princess commenced airing in the United States and Canada on September 4, 1995, concluded on July 29, 1996, and contained 24 episodes.

Happy 29th anniversary xenites, to my beloved warrior pricness from Amphipolis and her battling bard from Potedaia.

XENA COLLECTION EXPO OCT 22

Hi guys! Yesterday I have the chance of taking a few photos of my personal permanent Xena collection that I've acquired during the last 10 years at least, the collection combines screenused Hero costumes, props and a few replicas. Was a hard job to reunited all this stuff and I'm still thinking about how to display it properly, for the moment is placed as it is in the photos.

In this general photo you can see Xena hero costume, Gabrielle hero season 3&4 and season 6 costumes. Plenty of swords, proud of my Xena hero metal sword hanged in the shadow box in the wall, my screenused Gabrielle sais over the Creation Limited Edition Sais, some screenused dagger and replicas, the amazon turtle shield, a roman shield, a few axes, an spear, the AFIN katanas and Creation Entertainment chakras, sais, breast dagger & whip. In the middle of the dresser you can see a Xena metal replica based in the screenused one and a leather scabbard.

Gabrielle Hero Screenused S6 Sai Straps

Another of my favourite pieces of this Season 6 Gabrielle costume: The Sai Straps. I've adquired a pair of the screenused sai straps used by Gabrielle played by Renée O'Connor during the filming of the six season of the tv series.

They are in mint condition. The sai straps are made from a braid that combines strips of black and green leather, being the same green leather used in the skirt and top. And the braided is sewn on a piece of reddish brown leather.

My intuition tells me that they are the pair of the sai straps exhibited in the Te papa museum in New Zealand.

Gabrielle Screenused Sai Strap

 Today I bring you an amazing piece that Ive adquired some months ago. It's a screenused Gabrielle Season 5 Sai Strap prop. Although the leather looks edged, the essence is still the same and it's in great condition. This was bought from the same collector from UK that I've adquired the screenused Xena metal retractable sword from the lastest season.

You can clearly difference the different leather colours from the strap, that are the same that were used for the Gabrielle season 5 wardrobe seen for first time in the episode "Chakram".

This awesome piece from the history of american television will combine perfectly with my pair of screenused sais.
