Screenused Quiver prop

Happy day xenites! Today I bring you one of my lastest adquisition, in this case, is a screenused leather quiver seen in Xena in the episode "Maternal Insticts" used by Caleipus men against Callisto and also seen in the episode "Kindred Spirits" from season 5 used by Xena played by Lucy Lawless.

Screenused Lion Head Sword Prop

Recently I've adquired this beautiful roman style sword. This lion head sword was used in the Xena: Warrior Princess tv series in the latest season of the show.

Is in very good condition for being made 25 years ago. It is made of closed cell foam with a resin coated handle and guard. It has leather wrapped around the handle for easy gripping. It is painted silver/gray and accented with black to make it look used.

This sword  was seen in season 6 episodes, I've found some screencaps from the episodes "The God You Know" and "When Fates Collide".

In this image we can see Xena played by Lucy Lawless with a foam sword fighting romans at the end of the episode, the foam sword were made to this kind of fight scenes to not to hurt anybody. Probably that sword is the one I've got, but not 100% confirmed.

Xena Prototype screenused costume

Hello guys! Today, my screenused Xena prototype costume visited the sewing workshop to repair some small details. However, it is in mint conditon. I wanted to take some photos of the costume more detailed to show front, back and side perspectives. There are plenty of photos of this costume with the armour over it but there arent so much photos without it, and it's a really beautiful piece. Enjoy!

I've adquired this costume a few years ago from the Omarama Gallery from New Zealand, now, named Totara Peak Gallery/Big Rooster Antiques & Collectables that is an unique antique store that had various collections and items of interest. 

In the past, this gallery had an amazing Xena collection with plenty of mannequins wearing some screenused wardrobes and props from the tv series. Many people had visited the store just to watch their impresive collection.

But nowadays, that had ended, the owners' daughter took over the business and decided to sell the entire collection in 2017/18 and each costume has a new place anywhere arround the world.

This woman was the owner of the Omarama Gallery.

Xena new Photoshoot

After a few weeks I've decided to change my Xena mannequin for another one that have simetrical sides, I think you the costume can be displayed clearly here. You can see the screenused sword on the back and the Yin yang chakram on the right side on the hook. Boots is my newest adquisition and are an early replica of Todds Costumes, I must say are very well done, good leather and a good running shoe inside.

 

Athena screenused dagger style prop

 Hi guys! I've hadnt posted yet but Ive adquired this dagger a few months ago and I forgot to post it here. So,as you can see it is a screenused dagger used in the tv series in different episodes. The most recognized moment where the dagger is used by Athena in Motherhood, in this case the dagger doesnt have the blue faux jewel of the Athena dagger, instead it has a New Zealand shell in both sides. 

The dagger is in very good condition, is made of heavy resin with a metal rod inside and the painting is almost intact.

This dagger was seen in the episode "Here comes Miss Amphipolis..." in the final scene.

In the episode of "Motherhood" Athena holds it at the beginning of the episode.

Also, Athena takes it out of the sheath when she fights Xena at the end.

Xena costume at Smithsonian Museum

 Last year, during the pandemic I've found this images from the Smithsonian Museum, as you can see, it is a complete main hero Xena costume worn by Lucy Lawless with tha main weapons used by her character, Xena.

Front, the copper breastplate looks stunning, also, you can see that the kneepads had lost the copper painting over the reliefs.

Side - Chakram details are amazing.

Back side, in my opinion, its quite interesting how is the corset laces, the copper back armour, and you can watch that most of the paua shells from the scabbard are missing.
