Set-used "King Con" style prop dagger

Set-used dagger made of resin and soft foam in the blade. Like mostly all Xena props it has a metal rod inside to avoid bending. This dagger acquired by Global Effects in a prop trade in the early 2000’s and was stored since then. I have just seen a few of them in the last 10 years, so it is a quite rare one.

This dagger had a few appearances in season 3. Firstly, this dagger was used by the warlord, Dexon, at the beginning of the episode “Warrior… priestess… tramp” when Leah, the Virgin Priestess, wanted to be sacrificed for peace.

Later on, this dagger was used by Titus, the owner of the play house, in the episode “King Con” and a very quick appearance in the episode “Tsunami” hanging on the belt of a mariner when Gabrielle tried to save Autolycus from prison.

Set used prop Dagger

A recent eBay pickup: Here is a set-used dagger that was seen in the episode “King Con” and “Warrior… priestess… tramp” from season 3.

A quite rare dagger never seen before on sale. The handle is made of hard resin and the blade is soft foam in very good condition after about 25 years it was made. The dagger is a complete cast of resin, the leather wrapping around the handle is also casted in resin.

Personally, I love this style of intricate detailed daggers from the tv series.

Gabrielle's complete hero classic costume

Finally I can display the complete Gabrielle season 3&4 classic hero trademark costume. Probably one of my favorites costumes and most recognizable Gabrielle costume of the whole series worn by Gabrielle played by Renée O'Connor during the season 3 and the beginning of season 4, probably the golden years of the series in my opinion.

General view.

The costume is composed of the iconic set used Gabby BGSB (or "bilious green sport bra") with embroidered leaf motifs and wooden bead adornments, the set used rust paneled skirt, the set used leather painted belt, the set used leather fur purse, the garnet boots replica and the Creation Entertainment wood staff.

Gabrielle hero trademark boots

Hey guys! This week I have received these pair of boots replica from Gabrielle season 3 & 4 hero classic costume. This pair of boots were made by the Hollywood prop master Todd Coyle, after I got them I realized why Todd told me that they decided to not to do it anymore, the work on it is very intricate and the patterns are so screen accurate that I supposed it was a nightmare to do as accurate as the set used boots but it really worth it.

Made of real garnet cow leather and leather laces. About the laces, the boots came with light brown leather laces but weren't made of a good leather so they were already peeling all around and the color wasn't the right one so I added those laces of the same garnet cow leather and looks much better now.

I always wanted to complete my Gabrielle set used season 3 & 4 costume and finally I can do it.

Khrafstar's leather vest

Recently arrived the Krasftar stunt double set used leather patch vest to my collection. “The Deliverer” from season 3 was one of my favorite episodes from the whole series.

Xena’s desire for revenge against Caesar took her to Britain and there she and Gabrielle met Khrafstar (played by Marton Csokas).

While there, our heroes with their minds occupied, Xena’s with revenge and Gabrielle’s with his new friend, are tricked by Khrafstar into involving Gabrielle in a sacrificial ritual for the One God (unknown to them at this point), causing Gabrielle to stain her hands with blood for the first time, thus losing her purity and innocence.

Detailed lower part close-up.

Due to this, Gabrielle finds herself engulfed in flames while Xena fights Khafstar to free her. Later on our heroes discover that those flames impregnated Gabrielle and she will be the window for the one god Dahak’s son to come to this world through birth.

There is a tag inside written: "KHRAFSTAR STUNT DBL".

Gabrielle Screen worn Necklace Amulet

Recently added to my collection this screen worn Gabrielle necklace used by Gabrielle played by Renée O’Connor during the season 6 of the tv series. As far as I know, there's only another original necklace prop out there, sold by the same company to other collector and the one in Te Papa museum of New Zealand from Gabrielle stunt double, Jo Staverly.

This one in particular was sold by "Shed 11 Costume House" some years ago, it comes with the original box. It was stored during all these years. I feel really proud of been able to almost complete with screen used pieces my Gabrielle season 6 costume.

The necklace is made up of 5 beads: one silver leaf shaped pendant amulet, two wired silver beads on each side, that surprisingly are each one different of the other, and two silver round beads. I made a quick comparative view with the replica sold by Creation Entertainment and I can definitely say that Creation necklace beads are silver casts of the screenused pieces.

Hades's cloak

Directly from New Zealand this screen worn Hades cloak arrived this week. Extremely well done, the condition is awesome for having been almost 30 years old.

This cloak was used by Hades played Erik Thomson in the episode “Death in Chains”(Nov, 1995) from season 1. The last appeareance of the cloak was in the episode “Beware of greeks bearing gifts”(Jan, 1996) from season 1, worn by Deiphobus as the “Dark Warrior”, played by Cameron Rhodes, in Helen nightmare. There is tag inside written “Deiphobus Dark Warrior”. Also, was used by Hades character in the HTLJ series in the episode “The other side” from season 2 (Oct, 1995).

This cloak is made of purple velvet, leather and the skulls in the front part are made of kind of solid material. For just be a cloak, it never ceases to surprise me how the wardrobe department work over every single detail each character costume.
